When I play Consuming Curse from my trash, does it count itself for the bonus damage?
No. The first step of playing Consuming Curse moves it from your trash to the chain. Its damage instruction executes before it returns to your trash. Only other cards named Consuming Curse that remain in your trash add bonus damage.
