Chronobreak
Unofficial Riftbound rulings for Chronobreak, with rules explanations, examples, and Core Rules citations.
In what order does Chronobreak play unit cards with different owners?
The turn player begins playing the units they own, choosing their order. Each other player then does the same in turn order.
Those units wait on the chain until Chronobreak finishes resolving, then process in that order:
The first unit card put on the chain undergoes finalization first. A unit that finalizes resolves immediately and enters before the next unit card undergoes finalization.
Any play effect that unit triggers is added after every unit already waiting on the chain.
The remaining unit cards undergo finalization in the order they were put on the chain. Any ordinary play effects then finalize oldest-first in the order they were added.
Can Chronobreak play back a unit token?
No. The unit token ceases to exist immediately after Chronobreak banishes it, so it no longer exists when Chronobreak would instruct its owner to play it.
