When do I decide whether to Show Off?
Decide whether to use Show Off while the card is being finalized, not when it resolves. Show Off is shorthand for an optional "As you play" action. Its controller makes that choice during finalization.
Does picking a game object for Show Off trigger abilities that care when it is chosen?
No. Picking a game object for Show Off does not trigger an ability that cares when that object is chosen. Abilities whose condition says "When you choose" trigger from that choice specifically when the appropriate game object is targeted. For board objects, Show Off tells you to pick a friendly object. Picked objects are not targeted.
For example, picking Irelia, Fervent does not trigger her ability. Picking a friendly unit does not trigger Blade Dancer or Spirit Wheel. Picking Jae Medarda does not trigger his ability even if the card with Show Off is a spell.
Can I Show Off my chosen champion from my chosen champion zone?
No. Show Off can reveal a qualifying card only from your hand or pick a qualifying friendly game object only from the board. The chosen champion zone is a non-board zone, so a chosen champion there is available through neither option.
Can I use a facedown card to Show Off a card with Hidden?
No. A facedown card is not a card with Hidden, so it cannot satisfy a Show Off condition that requires that characteristic. For Gutter Guardian, you may instead reveal a card with Hidden from your hand or pick a non-facedown friendly card with Hidden on the board.
